G'day from New Zealand

Welcome

Welcome!

I am delighted to welcome you to my website, which outlines the work I do and the products I have to offer.

Unfortunately the English part of the site continues to be neglected due to my work as a freelance journalist for German newspapers, and also due to the very time-consuming work on my www.nzpensionprotest.com website which was launched in 2010.

The pension website is more than just adding copy and new information but also answering calls for help from current and future victims of the Direct Deduction Policy (= the deduction of employer/employee-funded overseas pensions from NZ Super, New Zealand's universal, non-means-tested and residency-based state pension).

In July 2019 I started adding videos on the pension issue on YouTube. The link is: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCTaa5yWB4XxK8q6QJ0TCmcA

Please send me your feedback, and thanks again for stopping by.

Sissi

Sissi's Profile (written by John)

Born in Geislingen/Steige, Germany. Sissi was a natural athlete, the Württemberg discus champion at the age of 16, and competing in the German national championships in javelin.

Sissi studied communication sciences, Spanish, and Italian at Munich University. She was then accepted into the prestigious Deutsche Journalistenschule as one of 15 successful candidates from a field of more than 1,000 applicants that year.

Since the age of 13 Sissi had wanted to be a sports journalist - especially so she could visit the handball players' changing rooms! Sissi began her career in journalism with Radio Luxemburg, and in 1980 she moved to Südwest Presse, based in Ulm, and specialising in sports journalism.

Sissi has travelled the world with her career and also for pleasure. She has covered 4 Olympic Games, 12 Tour de France cycle races, and countless handball and football matches. In all, Sissi has travelled in more than 50 countries!

Sissi has published two books before moving to New Zealand in early 2004. Her first book was a cycling tour guide for Southern Germany ("Radtouren zwischen Jagst und Donau"). Her second book - an "erotic" cookbook, is still available for purchase here. The title is: "Kulinarisches Vorspiel - 16 Männer à la Carte".

In late 2017 her very informative and educational book on New Zealand's nature has been published by Mana-Verlag in Germany. You guess right, it is in German. The title is: "Naturwunder Neuseeland - Geologie, Tiere und Pflanzen eines bedrohten Paradieses". You can have a look into the massive book which contains a lot of photos, most taken by herself, on her German page (click link).

Married to a New Zealander, Sissi has been living in the port town of Lyttelton near Christchurch since February 2004.

Sissi and John separated in 2016 but, due to financial reasons, keep on living together as flatmates and get along well.
